Vacation was great, but it is always nice to be back home. Faith did really well on our vacation. We left Saturday morning at 7 sharp and went to North Dakota on Saturday to visit Theodore National Park. Sunday, we traveled to South Dakota where there were tons of motorcycles everywhere (rally week, we did not know Sturgis was going on this week when we planned the trip). Tuesday, Ted and his girlfriend spent the day with us she is from Lead South Dakota. Tuesday night through Friday morning we went to Wright Wyoming where Ted lives. Friday morning we headed for home we got back on Saturday night at about 9:45. We did many fun things including- Mount Rushmore, Sturgis (not my cup of tea), Fish Hatchery, Western dinner and Show, Horse back Ridng, Old MC Donald's Farm, Flinestone Village, Visited with Frankie (Ted's roommates girlfriends son he was a hoot), Terry Redlin Art Museum, Tractor Museum, Laurie Ingles homestead, visited the mines, went through the mountains in Wyoming, and last but not least a traveled a 90 mile gravel road (trail) through the mountains because Ted got us lost.
Sounds like you guys had fun! I think being lost on a gravel road for that many miles would have been like tourture...I'm not a fan of gravel roads. Oh, and I didn't realize that Ted had a girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteWow, you certainly saw South Dakota! Glad to hear that you were able to take in so much of South Dakota on your vacation. Hope you enjoyed your adventure!
